Job Title: Geospatial Manager
Location: Hybrid – based in the Banbury area, with flexible work-from-home options
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Flexitime available

Role Overview
We are seeking a Geospatial Manager to lead geospatial analysis, consultancy, and product development within a technology-driven team. This role is key in delivering data solutions and insights to both internal and external clients, with a particular focus on transport-related topics such as safety and traffic patterns. The successful candidate will manage GIS projects, collaborate with other departments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance, and implementation of geospatial solutions using platforms like ArcGIS Online. The role also involves supporting the commercial team by working closely with clients, understanding their needs, and enhancing our offerings based on customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the geospatial analysis, consultancy, and product portfolio across various projects.
  • Manage the design and delivery of client solutions using ArcGIS Online, including data acquisition and processing.
  • Provide expertise in geospatial analysis, leveraging both open and proprietary datasets to deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the consultancy and commercial teams to identify new research areas and improve product offerings based on client needs.
  • Handle and process data using a range of tools including file geodatabases, SQL, and Postgres.
  • Provide leadership to the GIS Analyst and other internal resources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of projects.

About You:

  • Strong experience with Esri systems, particularly ArcGIS Online.
  • Proficient in geospatial analysis techniques with additional experience using platforms such as ArcGIS Pro and qGIS.
  • Skilled in handling and processing various data formats and databases (e.g., file systems, SQL, Postgres).
  • Familiarity with transport network data, census information, and demographic data is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various teams to meet client needs.
  • Experience working in a consultancy or client-facing environment, with excellent communication skills.
