Title: GIS Technical Support Analyst Location: Liverpool, Hybrid Salary: £25K + Benefits
Excellent position available for a GIS Technical Support Analyst to join a leading GIS consultancy based in Liverpool that deliver and support integrated solutions across a wide range of industries from utility and infrastructure sectors, environmental services, local and central government.
Skills and Experience required:
- 1-2 Years experience in the GIS industry
- Degree in GIS, Geomatics or similar discipline
- Experience in the use of ArcGIS Pro, Desktop
- Full Driving licence
- Previous experience in providing training and technical support in a technical discipline
Desirable:
- The familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS),
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Use of high accuracy GPS/GNSS equipment and GNSS data capture
- applications
- Familiarisation of the Android operating system
- Any development experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS would be a distinct advantage.
- Use of open-source GIS including QGIS

Based in the Liverpool office, the role requires drive, energy, and technical ability to deliver first-class technical sales support and customer service, product training (online and onsite) and problem resolution skills. All product training will be provided both internally and via supplier training courses, however, it is expected that the successful candidate will have experience with some of the products already. The role is well suited to recent graduates in geomatics related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Technical Sales team including site demonstrations and training
- Provide support and training onsite and online on MGISS products and solutions to clients
- Troubleshoot and resolve software & hardware issues
- Onboarding and configuration of GNSS hardware solutions to clients
- Attendance at regional events and industry tradeshows
