Job Title: Management Accountant – Property Client Accounting
Salary: Up to £42,000
Location: London (4 days in the office)

Our client is a highly respected, independent property advisory and auction firm, with a long-standing history in the industry. They provide a broad range of services, including property management, auctions, and commercial and residential agency work, and are well-known for their expertise in the London and Southeast markets.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of the company’s property clients. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing income and expenditure, and supporting the financial management of various property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain property client accounts, including rent collection, service charges, and overall client financials.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, providing key insights through variance analysis and financial performance reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial transactions are accurately documented.
  • Work closely with property managers and external clients to address any financial queries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations in property client accounting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for client property portfolios.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other necessary financial documentation.
  • Support year-end audits and ensure all client accounts are audit-ready.
  • Maintain timely and accurate invoicing and manage payments efficiently.
  • Handle any ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed within the finance team.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in property client accounting or related fields.
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified or fully qualified (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of client money regulations and property management financials.
  • Proficient in Excel and relevant property management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client portfolios.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Working Arrangements:

  • 4 days in the office with flexibility for 1 day remote working.
  • Competitive salary up to £42,000, based on experience.
