Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic grad/junior ecologists to join our team for the upcoming survey season. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or those early in their careers to gain valuable hands-on experience in ecological work, with the potential for a permanent role after six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field-based surveys for habitats and species across various project sites.
  • Assist with biodiversity assessments and ecological reporting.
  • Collect and organise survey data, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Support fieldwork logistics, including transport and resource arrangements.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance during all field activities.
  • Collaborate with project teams and assist with client communications.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree (or nearing completion) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Some experience or coursework related to ecological surveys or biodiversity assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel to different project sites, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
  • CIEEM membership or eligibility (beneficial but not essential).
